I was born and grew up in Canterbury and I am very proud of my home town. History has been an interest of mine for a long time, and I love to combine the two. My working background has been in museums and I have been involved in Roman and Medieval locations, stewarding and being involved with special events. I lived and was educated in Dover having moved to Kent from Lancashire and Cheshire. My husband was in the Army so I know other parts of England, Germany and Belgium.

Trained in the library service in Yorkshire and SE England and worked in Kent Libraries for 20 years, so was well-placed for research material. Speciality tours include Smugglers and Spectres in Kent, Romney Marsh Churches and Cinque Ports. I am chief guide at Lullingstone Castle which is home to the World Garden of Plants.

In addition to the details below, I also specialize in producing walking “treasure hunt” routes for groups of between 8 to 16 adult persons, often as a team-building exercise from the work environment. Each route being tailor-made to the client’s specific requirements, the routes are mainly Sussex based, but can also include London, Surrey and Kent as well.
